Mr. Carlos Santana, and his original band from forty-five years ago, recently visited Mohegan Sun to unleash his sultry Latin music to a sold out crowd. And, WOW, just WOW! He was, and always is, on top of his game. This artist never ceases to amaze me with his guitar playing. Mr. Santana, never slows down after he rips out hit after hit, mixed in with some of his new music from the CD Santana IV.
Neal Schon, from Journey, and one of the original members of Santana, took to the stage and joined in on Batuka and Black Magic Woman. Watching these two guitar aficionado’s work their magic on their guitar’s will make your night. It’s great to see original members reunite to play together.
Cindy Blackman-Santana, plays the drums for several songs, and she is a fantastic percussionist. Her drum solo didn't disappoint fans.
It is a true testimonial to an artist, that when the crowd stays standing and dancing during their whole set. Fans of all ages could be seen dancing and swaying in the shadows.
Many fans around me we commenting that they were blown away Santana. So, if you come out to see this tour, make sure that you arrive early to catch this awesome set. You will not be disappointed!
