Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater Virginia Beach, VA. May 20, 2016

Miranda Lambert brought her “Keeper of the Flame” tour with the Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore to the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach on a beautiful Friday night, May 20th 2016.

Starting the night off was the Brothers Osborne, an American country music duo from Maryland composed of brothers T.J. and John Osborne. TJ provides lead vocals and rhythm guitar while John provides background vocals and plays lead guitar. The band is best known for their popular hits “Rum” and “Stay A little Longer”. In January 2016 the Brothers Osborne released their first full-length album titled Pawn Shop. I expect to hear more from this duo as they sure as heck didn’t disappoint. American country music singer/songwriter from Georgia, Kip Moore was next to hit the stage. The crowd went crazy when Kip emerged - hat backwards, torn up boots, jeans and a cut off sleeveless T-shirt showing not only his muscular arms but also his tattoo Psalm 40:1-2. Kip with his sexy raspy voice delivered an amazing and energetic performance – he kept the crowd and definitely all the girls energized through his whole set and left everyone wanting more!!

A few favorites of the night included “Hey Pretty Girl”, “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck”, and “Beer Money”. Near the end of his set he sprung off the stage and ran to the area between the seats and lawn to engage even more with the crowd. The crowd went wild – his security went flipping out! Kip finished his incredible set with “Magic” – with the crowd eagerly ready for Miranda!

Six-time CMA and ACM Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert and band hit the stage with “Fastest Girl In Town”. Miranda looked beautiful with her perfectly done makeup, vibrant pink lipstick & black ensemble. The stage was visually appealing and had a stunning light setup.

Lambert stuck to the music all night. She didn’t seem to be in her normal “Girl Power” mood. Definitely a different energy than most people would expect from her - just seemed to be missing that spunk I saw in her a few years back.

Lamberts 18-song set featured hits such as “Bathroom Sink” and “Kerosene.” But it was her more heartfelt songs that were the best, particularly my favorite “The House That Built Me” and “Over You." Lambert chose “Gunpowder and Lead” to close her set. She was then joined on stage by the Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore as they all performed “Willin” and “Me and Bobby McGee” laughing and ending the night together.

Be sure to check out the tour dates and catch Miranda’s show as the “Keeper of the Flame” tour heads your way and bring along a pet food/item donation on your way in and drop your donation off in the “Little Red Wagons” – proceeds benefit various animal organizations. – loved that!
