Ervin J. Nutter Center                 Wright State University           Dayton, OH.  March 11, 2017

What an amazing night of music as 4  young country stars bring their all in front of 11,000 screaming fans. The Home Team Tour featuring Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini, Ryan Hurd & Russell Dickerson made its way to Wright State University at the Ervin J. Nutter Center in Dayton, OH. The crowd got there early to see one amazing SOLD OUT show!

First up was country newcomer Russell Dickerson. He had the crowd on their feet from the first song "Every Little Thing". This guy was all over the stage, and the fans were having just as much fun as he did. The crowd got into the groove with Russell Dickerson on the 3rd song "My Girl's Night Out" as he started out the song playing a snare drum before he went out into the crowd to sing this song. He ended his set with his breakthrough song "Yours". Russell gained many new fans after this performance, and On Tour Magazine is one of them.

The next performer to take the stage was rising star Ryan Hurd most known for his song writing. Now he is taking it to a different level as an artist. For most of the crowd this was the first time they seen Ryan play live. I think he won the crowd over with his solid performance "Love In A Bar", "City Girl" & his biggest hit as of now "We Do Us". This guy is going to move up the charts fast, and will be headlining shows very soon!

Kelsea Ballerini was up next, and running about 10 minutes late. What people didn't know was that morning Kelsea woke and could barely talk, and was very sick. Most people around her didn't know if she was going to be able to perform tonight. The show must go on; and the music fired up, and the lights hit the fogg entrance Kelsea was on stage singing "Yeah Boy". Nobody would have known she was sick if she didn't tell anyone by the way she was singing. Her set was shorten a little, so not much time for talk in between songs. She did a little acoustic number with a few songs with the crowd. She then finished out her set with her major hits "Peter Pan", "XO" & "Love Me Like You Mean It". If you haven't seen Kelsea in concert you are missing one heck of a show!

It was time for the main event of the Home Team Tour as the crowd wnt wid when the big screen started a countdown from 30 to 1 for Thomas Rhett. The fogg hit the stage, and Thomas Rhett came up through the floor singing "Crash And Burn". You could tell the rest of the night was going to be a big party! The crowd was singing right along with Thomas with "Get Me Some Of That" and "Star Of The Show". Thomas dedicated his song "American Spirit" to all the men and women defending our freedom.

The lights went out, and next thing you see Thomas on a mini stage at the back of the arena with an acoustic guitar. He was ready to play cut down versions of songs that impacted his life that he doesn't get to play often, and songs he wrote for others like Flordia Georgia Line, Lee Brice & Michael Ray.

It was time to head back to the main stage as he performed his mega hit "Vacation" heading back through the crowd back to his band. Next song Thomas had a special guest join him on "Playing With Fire" none other than Danielle Bradberry. It was time for Thomas to kick it into overdrive with his hits such as "It Goes Like This", "Die A Happy Man" & the next song Thomas Rhett had his own drum kit to play "T-Shirt". It was time for the last song of the night as Thomas Rhett invited Ryan Hurd & Russell Dickerson to join him onstage to do their version of Bruno Mars smash hit "24K Magic". Kelsea Ballerini normally joins them as well, but not able tonight due to her illness.

The Home Team Tour hit a home run with the crowd. People got their hard earned monies worth with this show. If this tour hits your area this is a must see tour for any fan of music!
