Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, artist, comic book hero LIGHTS born Valerie Anne Poxleitner brought her vibrant color and effervescent music to life at The NorVA in Norfolk, VA. along with openers Chase Atlantic and DCF.
Opening the show was DCF, then came Australia’s alternative/indy band Chase Atlantic. Chase Atlantic is a trio of brothers Mitchel and Clinton Cave and longtime
friend Christian Anthony.
They were amazing….high energy, great at pumping up the audience and Clinton's amazing saxophone adds so much to the live sound….they are just plain FUN!! You
can truly tell they enjoy what they do and the fans fed off of it.
It was the time of the night that everybody was waiting for as the lights went down, the crowd grew wild with excitement. The stage & production was definitely one of the bests and consisted of a huge led background screen and lights coming from the sides and above, plus enough room for LIGHTS to dance around the beautifully lit open stage.
LIGHTS opened up the set with ‘New Fears’ and instantly the crowd went wild. Filled with vibrant color and effervescent music - LIGHTS was charming, had great energy and delivered a really memorable 16 song set that included 3 soothing acoustic songs and 2 astounding encores ‘We Were Here’ and ‘Almost Had Me’. You could definitely tell there were some truly dedicated LIGHTS fans by the way the whole venue sang along to each song.
A lil bit about LIGHTS….
It was a spectacular evening of entertainment…where I came out a fan of both bands!
